Pureosity / material research Kyoto → Milan

A campaign story in progress

FROM KYOTOTO MILAN

Help carry an evolving material-research project toward a possible presentation at Milan Design Week 2027.

01 / The question Whiteness, light, material

WHAT CAN WHITE BECOME?

Pureosity follows a simple question: what changes when whiteness is treated as a structure rather than only a colour?

From Kyoto, the research looks closely at nature, light and surfaces. This page is an exhibition-facing translation of that direction — a place to understand the question before the next experiment is made.

Look closer

Nature offers a starting point.

Observation becomes a question. A question becomes a material study. A study becomes something that can be tested, handled and eventually shared.

The path is open. The outcome is still being tested.

03 / Research in Kyoto Real work / still becoming

A question becomes physical.

Pureosity Labs is a Kyoto University research laboratory affiliated with Pureosity. The current public record includes DFP — Deep Foam Photolithography — and a Nature publication describing a foam-based materials platform inspired by natural light scattering and water-repellent surfaces.

This campaign page keeps the story open. Scientific mechanisms, durability, safety, applications and performance boundaries remain with the official research source.

RESEARCH KYOTO

The work begins in Kyoto, where material questions are developed and tested.

01

RESEARCH

Kyoto

Start with the question. Observe closely. Keep the evidence visible.

02

MATERIAL

Experimentation

Let a nature-inspired direction become a surface, a structure and a series of tests.

03

PROTOTYPE

Physical translation

Move from an evolving research idea toward something people can encounter in space.

04

EXHIBITION

Milan 2027 / TBC

A possible public presentation in Milan. Venue, format and participation remain to be confirmed.

05 / What support makes possible Working categories / final scope TBC

Support the next test.

READYFOR will carry the approved target, dates, rewards and payment process. This page shows the kinds of work a public contribution is intended to help move forward.

01

Material experimentation

Support the next cycle of material tests, observations and documented comparisons.

02

Prototype development

Move an evolving research direction into a physical object or surface.

03

Analysis & documentation

Create the records, images and explanations needed to make the work legible.

04

Public presentation

Prepare a possible presentation in Milan, subject to confirmation of venue and format.
